City of Dreams In Progress – Ahmedabad

Come December and it was time to explore another beautiful state in India and this time I chose to explore Gujurat ( Kuch Din to Gujaro Gujarat Me 🙂  / [Translate : Spend some quality Days in Gujurat]). Usually the temperature in this part of the country stays high so the chills in December is the best time to explore.
The planning didn’t exactly start that way. It was Rann Utsav that I wanted to witness and thought of exploring the entire Gujurat while visiting the famous Rann Utsav.

All the plans were set , I had an early flight on Sunday morning ( budget flights ply too early 😀 ). So did my packing and hired a cab to the airport at midnight. Spent some time in the airport but mostly sleepy, My boarding was at 1:45 am. Some how managed to keep awake by watching some videos on youtube and finally boarding started , and well here I was ready to fly…

But no something different had to happen..It was my first time in Spicejet Bombergoom flight. Hiding low below the normal airbus..

And I was lucky to get the first seat which is also the emergency exit in this plane(but extra legroom is always happiness). Flight took off and with lights dimming my eyes also started to dim and slept well until the landing.
When I stepped out of flight, well it was chilling cold and I was not prepared for it, I was in normal tshirt no jacket.

Got out of the airport where my sister was waiting for me.

Pune to Ahmedabad Flight Costed around Rs 2200

Now it was time for our tour to start. Booked an ola to the hotel which was pre booked, but the maps fooled us and hotel was no where to be located, we just kept roaming around calling the owner and somehow found the Hotel . we took our luggage and moved to the reception, and well with me nothing comes so easy.
It was 4 am in the morning and now the hotel manager says that we booked from a boking site and with that rate its not affordable.

Now that’s our first encounter with a typical Gujju Businness model.
He made us call the booking site and get it cancel and pay him cash.
I was against all this but the time was so early that we had to get some rest before we start our day, so we agreed with some compensation.
We checked into our respective rooms and staright away slept.

Budget Hotel Costs around Rs 1000 for one room per night near Airport (Hansol)

Well the sun wakes up and so were we gearing up to explore as per plan. I had booked Rent a Car ( from Zoomcar) for the entire trip and the pickup site was very near to the hotel where we stayed.
So I quickly got ready and by 9 am I was gearing to go ahead and get the car which was booked from 10 am AND the biggest SHOCK, the car which I had booked had met with an accident and literraly ZOOMCAR had no other cars for us as backup.
And this was conveyed to me at 9:45 am when I almost reached the site, I was very angry and thought this is the end of the tour (the morning spat with hotel Manager was still fresh). I just sat next to the site cursing around my luck but had no option.
Not thinking much , just bantered to the Zoomcar Customer care who were more happier in giving the refund. In sad mood I walked back to the hotel. My sister was there in hotel itself, I told her but now, I thought whats use of being sad and sitting, when one door closes theres always another way.

So Auto was the best option, but now it was 10:30 am and we were hungry so had a quick breakfast (South Indian Uttapa’s 😀 in Gujurat ) and than uber/ola to our rescue.
We booked our auto to our first place and the one that comes to everyones mind to visit once at Ahmedabad is Sabarmati Ashram.
On route to Sabarmati ashram we got down on bridge and clicked few snaps of the Sabarmati river flowing through City Center.

We finally reached Sabarmati Ashram
It is this place where Mahatma Gandhi led the Dandi March (Salt Satyagrah) which played an influential role in India’s Independence.

The belongings of Mahatma Gandhi are on display over here.
We explored the place, but let me tell you the place was very clean and neat.
It was very calm, peaceful and we could clearly hear birds chirping around with Sabarmati river just flowing besides it making it more picturesque.

We went through the events happened and explored the beauty of this place
There were many sewing machines ranging from years that I felt was the trump card of this place.
It was time to bid bye to this place.

The temperature wasn’t so pleasing in the afternoon and what more than Amul cool milk shake can refresh you with (Anand is the name of the place in Gujurat where Amul Dairy products are manufactured and sold all over country).

After getting refreshed we took another auto to our next destination Huthheising Jain Temple. On the aspects of architecture it looked really great. We clicked some snaps from outside. “Photography is not allowed inside the temple”. We took blessings on God and sat in the shelter just looking at the small and beautiful carvings.

Now we were starving and wanted to have something in our tummy.
So we decided to check online and take our break in adalaj . we checked a restaurant in tripadvisor and took auto to the restaurant destination
Enroute the auto guy (he seemed to be Maharashtrian born in Gujurat) told us that Maruti nandan is the best chain restaurants in Gujurat.
He told us to change the destination and he took us to that restaurant.
We had our first Gujurati authentic Thali and Kathiyawadi thali.
The food was sweet in amost all items. But the main part is buttermilk which u will get in ample.

We had our tummies full and to digest it we decided to have a walk to Adalaj step well
The architecture work of this step well is really worth appreciating. Ususally this step wells were buit to store the rain water.
Here people even come for pre wedding photo shoots that we witnessed.

After some snaps at 4 pm we moved to our next destination i.e the famous Akshardham temple.Enroute to Akshardham which is in Gandhinagar the capital city of Gujurat, we saw all the administration offices and minister house

We stepped down of auto and could see the beautiful temple from road side and SUn setting just besides it, a pretty cool time to take snaps, before I just got to know that we cant carry any electronics device inside (The terror attack that took place may be the reason behind it).

We kept our mobile, camera, smart watches everything in the locker and moved inside. The site of temple with fountain in the middle and well maintained garden was pleasing to our eyes. There is a photograher inside ( from the trustee ) who clicks photos eith temple background for you to keep in your memories which costs a mere Rs 100 for one copy. We clicked the photo and moved ahead (Just to note, they click photos only till Sunset). We took blessings of lord Swaminarayan and gone through the events and stories that were exhibited within the temple. The Golden carvings right from roofs to the walls and eye catching idol that you cant just move away within seconds and it will make you hypnotize by itself by its sheer view.

By the time we moved out of temple it was 6 pm and since it was the winter days it had already been darker and lights started playing its role. The View at night with amber lights flashing all over the temple is a must see in a lifetime thing in your bucket. We just sat across next to the water fountains viewing the temple and the water fountains.

There was a musical fountain nearby which we didnt explore but it starts around 7 pm. Also there are some simple adventure rides for all age group. We than had our tea and some batata wadas (which was sweet as expected) from the temple canteen. There are many options for eatery and price too very cheap.

At 7 pm we moved out of the temple campus and it was time to explore some street markets set just outside the campus.

We roamed around and checked the prices of some of the authentic Gujurathi dresses, bought a few and by now it was 8 pm and our last destination was Kankaria Lake, but we were tired by this time and had to think on what to do for the rest trip as we didn’t had a car now, so we rushed to our hotel rooms.

It was very cold and chilling and in auto we were just waiting for us to reach the hotel.
The afternoon Thalis was average so we decided to go with some fast food at night. Once we reached hotel room we ordered regular pizzas and while binging on it, it was time to search for self drive cars
Finally we were lucky enough to get a car from Revv But it was Maruti Alto K10 but atleast we had something to roam with.So I booked it for our next 90 % of the trip and the best part was it had door step pickup and delivery.
So I mentioned time at 7 am in the morning and slept praying that hope this time luck doesn’t ditch us.

Next morning I woke up at 6:30 am to the call of the representative who was coming to deliver the car, I was happy that finaly we have a car. The representative came and called me and I just rushed to register my DL with Revv (Unlike Zoomcar, Revv does registration on the spot within 15 mins and that’s a good advantage for first timers) and finally I had view of the car. It was a brand new car with Karnataka registration ran only around 490 kms (i.e getting car from Karnataka to Gujurat) and I was the first guy who would have taken it for a trip. Now new car so I was excited but was bit scared as wanted to keep it as new as it can. I completed the registration procees took the keys and went up to get fresh. Post that completed my checkout formalities and loaded the luggage in car.
The car is a bit less spacious but for 2 people can be manageable.

“Ganapati bappa Morya” and we started the road trip now with Google maps on the dashboard.

Our first destination for the day was Sun Temple Modhera.
The roads in Gujurat let me tell you are amazing and I thought just the city roads are good but whichever turn u take it doesn’t disappoint, so good were the roads that going on high speed wasn’t risky at all. The max speed however set by Revv is 125 km/hr (Drive cautiously )
Tried to hit as early as I can so that didn’t wanna spend time roaming in afternoon schorching heat

On way around 9 am we took our first break in one of the dhabas.Ordered Aloo Parantha and tea, and should mention they were delicious. Did some photo shoot with car and with chewing gums in our mouth pushed ourselves to the Sun temple.

We reached the beautiful place around 11 am and just entered the main gate and we could get a glimse of temple some meters away with long lawns of green grass infront of it. The ample of greenary is always a stopover for photos :P, we clicked some photos and than moved ahead. The temple is way too beautiful and every angle you look at it will just make you snap it for your memories. We clicked more than hundreds of photos over here only a few could share it here.

We were literraly tired of clicking photos so just sat in the shade for some time and left the place around 12 : 30 pm to our next destination.

On the route we found some camels and you cant resist to snap them :). They literraly started giving a pose.

We reached Rani ki Vav (Gujurat had tableau representing this place for Republic Day 2020) which is in Patan very near to Modhera at around 1 pm. The scorching heat had dehydrated us a bit and we were a bit tired as well. It was another step well, very well architectured and had around 7 floors.

We sat there for about an hour and about 2 pm left this another archaeological place.

And now it was time to move to another district i.e. Kutch

Untill next destination signing Off 🙂

The City Of Lakes – Udaipur

City Palace View

We sat in the cab from our old City Guest house in Jodhpur (Read Previous blog) and were enroute to Udaipur.Google Maps showed it would take around 5 hrs (250 kms) to reach Udaipur

Everyone were busy updating the Whatsapp Status and just simply commenting on one another and spending our time. Nothing much enroute untill the Driver made us stop to have a look at Bullet Baba temple and he told us the interesting story behind it (Google it for story).

After that Driver gave us two options. One is the Highway with toll and Second one was via Ranakpur (where there is a famous Jain temple) where the roads are bad. Just to have a look of Jain temple we chose the second option, but that option didnt go that well as the roads were in bad condition and now it was definately going to take couple of hours extra. We didnt had much to do so took nap in the car untill we reached the Ranakpur Jain temple. The route to reach temple is via Jungle area so it was good.

We clicked some snaps and roamed around the vicinity of the temple.

Now we were starving and didnt had any cash, and our inner voice was heard by the Driver who made a stop at an interesting garden restaurant. I named this restaurant interesting because the moment we opened the menu the price of food items were so overpriced that for moment we started searching the food items based on the price it valued for (It was priced almost like a 5 star restaurant cuisine which it wasn’t).

We ordered some parathas , Luckily quantity was better and made ourselves back to the car.

We were already late so planned not to take any breaks and reach our destination at earliest. and finally we reached Udaipur at 3:30 pm.

Cab Drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur costed us Rs 1000 per head

We went to the Guest House where we were greeted by a kind teenagaer (as his Dad who manages the Guest house had gone outstation). We quickly got fresh and first thing as usual had a cup of tea and than straight to the roof top to have the lake view and were mesmerized to see such a beautiful lake surrounded by palaces.

City Palace Closes at 5 pm and also there was a marriage that was about to happen so everything was going to be closed soon. So we rushed ourselves to the City palace took tickets and a guide to know the palace in details. There were various restaurants inside. The Royal family also stays in the same palace. There are boats available to go the Jagmandir Palace , which is in the middle of the lake.We just explored the City Palace and got details from our guide regarding the significance of each and every place.

Lake and the City View points from the Palace just filled our eyes and we would only say one word..WOW!!!!

City View From Palace

After City Palace tour we just roamed around through small lanes, ate some snacks and just walked along to have a night glimse of Lake Pichola.

There was a party going on in Jagmandir Palace so it was lit to the best. We sat there for few minutes before we decided to head back to Guest house and sit and chill from roof top. On the way we did some shopping to take back home mostly Rajasthani textiles.

From Guest House Rooftop the View of Pichola lake at night was awesome. We just sat there and started chiling and enjoying our time, before it turned out way too much chilling for us (temperature started dropping drastically :D), we came down and slept in our rooms

Early morning we woke up a bit late and were planning to have bath . before we changed our plan and used that time to go out again quickly to pichola lake and do boating. And let me tell you it was worth every penny

We had great views and another city in our memories

Boating for 20 mins costed us Rs 150 per head.

Finally we rushed back to Guest House as we had a bus to catch at 11 am to go to Ahmedabad (Which wasn’t the next Destination to explore) but for budget sake we had booked our return flight to Pune from there.

And that wraps up the trip to Jaisalmer – Jodhpur – Udaipur.

The Blue City – Jodhpur

City View

So as we sat in the train from Jaisalmer (read previous blog), it departed sharp at 5 pm. It was my first experience in train for a medium/long distance travel and I was pretty much excited about it. My buddies have hyped me that Train travel with friends is the best thing to happen and guess what it was great 🙂

We had booked 3 AC tier and had 2 window seats with us to enjoy the deserted area of Jaisalmer as we bid Good Bye to it. Sun was setting so were our eyes as we were tired by now, but didnt want to sleep and miss the fun, so to keep ourselves activated I just contradicted on one topic and out of nowhere we started the debate game the whole time and it was fun in its own way. (Definately the European couple seated next to us must be confused as what exactly we were fighting on all of sudden and laughing the next moment :D).

Train took its stop at one of the station that I can’t ignore to mention. Image is enough to explain it all 🙂 . (Google the name for details why this place is so special).

We reached Jodhpur Railway station at perfect mentioned time 10:55 pm sharp. and by now we were completely tired, so we hired an auto and headed towards the old city (Blue City) where we had pre booked our rooms in Guest House.

Train Ticket from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur was Rs 500 per pax

But as we got down of auto we could see a huge quarrel going on exactly opposite to Guest house and as many as 15- 20 people around. Now this was a bit uncomfortable for us, but strangely the same people (not the main persons involved in quarrel :P) were kind enough to help us directing the stairs to our guest house. It was weird at start but turned out to a completely different perception towards people (Like in Jaisalmer the people in Jodhpur are also kind enough).

We straight away put our luggage in room and went straight to the roof top cafe where our Thalis were ready. We were starving at that time and just rushed up (Also to have view of fort from Roof top 🙂 ). But the fort lights were off. So we quickly had our Dinner and rested in our room.

We woke up fresh the next morning, even though it was a bit late but the weather was good with us. It was not chilling but pleasant enough to explore. We freshened up and walked straight to the top of the guest house where we got a good view of the fort and clicked some snaps.

We quickly had our breakfast along with view of the fort. Our Guest House Manager helped us to book a local auto from him contacts and the deal was the auto driver will be taking us to the famous four site seeing places in Jodhpur and dropping us at the Market place.

So we started our day at 11 am and first was offcource to explore whats inside the fort that we saw from the roof top of Guest house. Yes, It was The Mehrangarh Fort (It took some time at first to spell it correctly 🙂 )

Unlike the fort and every construction in Jaisalmer City is made of Yellow sandstone, Here in Jodhpur its made of Red SandStone. The fort was well maintained as it is not under Government acquisition but maintained privately by the ascendant of King family member by forming a Museum Trust.

Entry Fee for Fort is Rs 120 per pax and for Guide (for a group) is Rs 500.

Please don’t Litter and keep the place clean !!!

Guide guided us through the entire fort with Interesting stories behind them. It is recommended to take a guide who will explain you the entire family tree and what is the significance of each and every artifact along with timelines of events happened. Story behind specific paintings, to characteristic nature of each King ruling over. Its historic and some funny events in the timeline makes it really interesting.

And it was time to have a view of the City and best place was from this fort’s Viewing points

Most buildings and Its Roofs in the Old City are painted in Blue and thats where the City got its name – The Blue City

We spent some time walking around and relaxing a bit.

The temperature wasn’t good anymore and Sun started playing its role of what it does the best, but we had to make ourselves ready to the next place Jaswant Thada.

As per what the guide told us it serves as the cremation ground for the royal family of Marwar.

We walked around the garden but were completely tired and starving by this time.(Hungry makes man angry and I was the one who was getting irritated a lot). So we told auto driver to make a stop at the restaurant.(Before that to ATM to remove cash)

Make sure you carry cash as most places doesn’t have card payment or wallets to have cashless transaction !!!

Made our tummies happy with some delicious food in one the Garden restaurant and made ourselves move to Umaid Bhawan. It is made of Pink Sandstone which is found beneath the Red Sandstone. The palace Musuem is only 10 % that is accessible for public, rest is taken up by Royal family and half by the Taj Group. We went through the Museum. Just opposite to Museum there are various Vintage cars used by the Royal family members (This will definately make anyone jealous :D)

We came out, had coffee, juice as we just had glimse of the houses just beyond the Palace.

By this time I had stomach upset and was not feeling good, Tired but just to complete the things we planned to see, we went to Mandaore Garden, place looked good with an old architecture temple, and we walked till the highest point (but sun set had happened by that time 😦 ) , we sat a little bit and made our way at bottom at around 6:30 pm.

Our next stop was Clock tower where there is market place as well, but I was so tired that I couldnt continue and told my friends to lets go to room and relax and they were good enough to understand and we directly headed to room .

Auto took Rs 800 for entire day.

Got fresh in room but the plan to explore market and Clock tower got cancelled.

We went to the rooftop to see the beautiful fort lit up in amber lights.

We sat down and chilled , fought with each other for some reason, patched up back .Had our dinner and to pour surprise the European couple who were neighbours for our train journey had visited the same Cafe, we exchanged Greetings as it was a mere coincidence.

After Dinner we went in our rooms to see Formula 1 Brazil GP race (Sad news for Ferrari Fans though, both crashed 😛 ).

Post that we had a nice sleep just to wake up in the morning a bit early this time as we had to make a move to our new destination.

Quickly Had our breakfast and exchanged Greetings with our Guest House Manager

Breakfast Time 🙂

At 8:30 am our cab was waiting for us to take us to our next Destination — The City of Lakes.

Saying a Good Bye to this beautiful City and storing the memories of yet another day in my Life. Signing Off untill next Destination 🙂

With Stay, Breakfast and Dinner (2 times) costed us Rs 1500 per head.

The Golden City – Jaisalmer

Camel Ride in Sand Dunes of Thar Desert

Jaisalmer – The Golden City, the land known for desert safari’s.

It was month of November and wanted to get away from my daily routine and just listed out some places that can be explored for the winter and this place definately struck me, desert – a place which till that time I had only seen in pictures and read in my school days Geography.

So a plan was set with my two best buddies, and we made it happen. (Sucess!!!! – need to highlight as most of the times it doesn’t happen 🙂 )

We woke up at 3 am in the morning got fresh and don’t know if it was the excitement or any other reason we got ready in time, and Cab was waiting down for us to take to Mumbai Airport. We were not at all sleepy, made fun of each other enroute Mumbai. Had a small tea break in middle (Poha costed us 70 bucks / pax :0 ). And finally we reached Mumbai International Airport at 7:30 am.

We quickly got fresh and had some breakfast in KFC (thats the place for some reason I feel a bit cheaper in airport 🙂 ) and boarded our flight (It was first time for one of my buddy and we two were just scaring him up) to add more it was a Jet Airways Plane (service stopped at that time) bought on lease by Spicejet and even the sticker of Jet Airways not completely removed (plus the dreadful Boeing 737 Max written on it :D)

There are Direct Flights from Mumbai to Jaisalmer which if booked two months prior with offer can get you a ticket for a price around Rs 4000 / pax

But once we took our seat, we were far asleep and for next two hours till we landed we took a good nap. offcourse we didnt miss the take off and landing reaction of our best friend travelling first time 🙂

While landing we could see lot many windmills and whole lot of barren land, no vegetation and could hardly spot any house.

Finally we came out of plane and we got to feel the weather for the first time and let me tell you there are no words to describe it and you need to visit it yourself to experience it, It was around 11:30 am and the temperature read 21 degrees, and the cool air flowing around just made us wait and keep appreciating the weather, put a tent next to airport and spend your time . It was cloudy (So the Sun screen lotion we bought was of no use :P).

Jaisalmer Airport is Defence airport so please don’t click photos.

Three Musketeers Outside Jaisalmer Airport

And our trip Started, we had our Trip Package pre booked so our driver was waiting for us and he took us to the hotel to get fresh. The roads were so good and so was the weather (I couldn’t stop appreciating it !!!) , but the driving of localities wasn’t 😦 (including our driver). they were a bit rash in driving but nature wise they were good. enroute we had glimse of city and each and everything is built up of yellow sandstones and thats where it got the name the Golden City (And not because of Thar Desert as I thought before reaching here.)

We reached the hotel and first thing we did before getting fresh is had a cup of tea (Tea Lovers 😀 ), and next thing was not getting fresh but we straight away headed to the roof top of hotel and let me tell you the view of fort was next level and we were just feeling proud of ourselves that we had come to the right place.

We did some photo shoot headed to get fresh as we couldnt waste more time as we had lot more activities to do for the day, We quickly had our Lunch (food was average tastewise) and we went down to have a word with hotel owner who had planned the day for us.

Lunch Time – Chapati and Koftas

As per our initial discussion he had mentioned we will get a Etios Sedan car for our site seeing, but he gave us a better option and that is Jeep for all site seeing and jeep safari through outskirt area for a private safari rides, now our happiness had doubled and we couldn’t hide those from our face.

We headed out, but a rare incident happened, it started RAINING in Jaisalmer.

We were a bit dissapointed of how the next half day will span out, but our new Driver was very good and motivating us all along that it will stop raining (It was unseasonal rains) and you will have great time. The only step at that time we took is change our footwear 😛

Jeep and the Rains 🙂

From the Picture Itself you can get a glimse of where exactly we headed to (right corner in above pic). Yes, Kuldhara Village – One of India’s top listed Haunted Village. I had read a lot of stories on Internet, but our Driver (who was a Jailsalmer Localite – Rajput Marwadi) told us its all fake and that its not haunted anymore. But entry for this village is closed at night. For more details and stories surrounding Kuldhara Village you can Google it !!! . We quickly roamed around the village and had some snaps, before heading to our next spot

Our next stop was Amar Sagar Adinath Jain Temple. It was a calm place and Architecture of temple was really good and by this time our eyes were already acceptng the Golden colour of this city, except for the rains which was irritating a bit at this time.

And it was almost 4 pm by now and slight drizzling still happening, the happy faces started to struggle and were turning into sad before the jeep ride started through to the Dune area, well I must say the roads were so awesome and cool air flowing with slight drizzle, and the speed with which driver was driving, the happiness just broke out the max level it had in us, it was so much fun that we even didnt stop to click any pictures and were just enjoying the ride. Splash of water, windwills around, cool breeze flowing and straight roads and no one infront or following us. Some things will remain in memory even though we didnt click pictures and store them.

But it was not going to end over here, we started offroading and this time through routes surrounded by windmills and cactus all over. We were just enjoying the max we could and GIF below will just give a small glimse of it.

And as we moved ahead we could see the dunes which were never ending and to add to our delight it stopped raining and we could see the sun peeping out of the clouds.

No words to describe the fun we had in the Dunes, There was no one there except we three and Romeo and David (name of the camels) along with their care taker, taking us through the dunes and watching the sun set. I was witnessing the dunes for the first time and riding Camel was fun too. before we stepped down soon so that the poor animal dont need to take our burden and just walked and ran over the dumes like school kids. took some snaps and even though our batteries ran out by this time (both camera and ours), we enjoyed whatever time we spent over there before heading to our tents.

As we were moving to our Tent site, we were tired (so much that we didn’t click a single photo). Got fresh, kept phones for charging in Swiss tents and we went to charge ourselves with some tea and onion pakodas and we enjoyed some traditional folk songs and dance. We had our dinner which was a tradional Rajasthani Thali and went out for a walk.

The tent was surrounded by Dunes where we took a walk and sat till midnight to chill before we went to sleep . A day added to our memory to remember. 🙂

We were to talk and chill out but weather was so chilling that we fell asleep and directly woke up at 7 am in the morning. We were lazy enough to start our day. Clicked some photos as earlier day we didn’t. and had a must cup of tea.

The Sunrise had just happened and it was time for our Jeep Safari in Dunes. We quickly got fresh and set out on 4*4 Gypsy safari over the Dunes. Was real adventure to stand at the backside of Gypsy as it drives around like a roller coaster over the Dunes.

Jeep Safari

The second day also started well and by now we were done with the activities in the Dunes and had to head back to the Jaisalmer City. But must say a night stay with activities in Dunes is a must in bucket list of any traveller. Now it was time to say Good Bye to this beautiful place. But before that we had our breakfast and let me tell you the tea over here is one of the best that we had five cups each in the morning 🙂

Now we were back to Jaisalmer City Hotel where we had landed first and we just kept our luggage in the locker room and set out walking to explore the Jaisalmer city and fort.

For first it was time of the Golden Fort – Jaisalmer Fort. The View from outside was amazing, but as we entered it was way too crowded with too much commercialization.Later we got to know that there are many hotel stays within the fort. The architecture is somewhat you can’t shift your eye from. We took a guide who guided us through the places and explained us the details about the fort.

We than had our lunch in hotel just opposite to the fort and walked ourselves to our next destination which was Patwon ki Haveli. We witnessed some nice architecture work and carvings on the roof and walls and couldn’t stop clicking pictures.

Finally as it was 4 pm in the evening and we had a train to catch for our next destination we had to quickly wrap up and walk to the Hotel to collect our luggage and head straight to the Railway station. We had tea at hotel itself and Hotel manager was kind enough to drop us to the station.

Jailsalmer is one of the awesome place which everyone need to explore and would recommend it to everyone irrespective of age group. Signing off till next Destination :).

There is Train From Jailsamer to Jodhpur at 5 pm.

The Total Package Including Stay, Site Seeing, Safari and Dinner costed us approx Rs 2700 per head
